Maciej, Senior Design Engineer, Wrocław, Poland
While graduating with a B.Eng. at Wrocław University of Science and Technology over 10 years ago, Maciej was working for Volvo Buses. After couple of years, he started looking for a need direction to his career. Maciej reached out to one of the managers at Comatec to present his skills and expectations. The offer he received aligned with his goals, and now, eight years later, Majiec still is comatecian.
– I work as a consultant for a client specialising in heavy construction equipment, Maciej says.
– As part of the Technology Improvement team, I develop design solutions that address manufacturing and field issues, helping to reduce failure rates and increase the uptime of our client’s products. My role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, from designers, production engineers to buyers and suppliers ensuring that the solutions we implement are both practical and effective.
Over the years at Comatec, Maciej has been challenged to gather as much information as possible to make well-informed decisions within tight timeframes, always with the goal of ensuring customer satisfaction. He has also been mentoring new employees and helping them get started by sharing his experience and knowledge.
– The best part of my job is the sense of accomplishment when a solution I design directly improves a product’s reliability and performance. It’s rewarding to see how my work contributes to solving real-world problems.
According to Maciej the most difficult aspect is balancing multiple tasks. When unexpected issues arise, it requires quick thinking and adaptability to find the best solutions without compromising quality.
