Sustainability at Comatec

We comply with Comatec’s Code of Conduct and local laws, ensuring business continuity. We expect our partners to do the same. We constantly evaluate our business and processes and develop our practices to comply with changing requirements.

For us, sustainability means that we take economic, social and environmental aspects into account and respect the law and ethics, both as a provider of design and professional services and as an employer. Our approach to sustainability shows in how we treat each other and our stakeholders, and how we act as part of society. We are in constant dialogue with our customers, our employees and other stakeholders.  

As we continually develop our efforts to operate sustainably, we focus on how our supply chains operate and in particular on deepening our understanding of sustainability overall. This works both ways: as a part of our stakeholders’ complex supply chains, we take responsibility and strive to help them achieve their sustainability goals.

As part of our business, we also offer our customers support for the management of environmental matters and improvement of environmental protection through environmental management and the circular economy. We help them implement sustainable development through a life cycle approach, and also help them to reduce their burden on the environment. We provide new ideas for more environmentally friendly operations, as well as proposals for applying the results for constant business improvement. 

Our operations are guided by management and quality systems and project management guidelines. We comply with good corporate governance and Comatec Group’s Code of Conduct.

We continue on the path to ever greater sustainability with our stakeholders, being a partner worthy of your trust now and in the future. We have established practices for calculating our carbon footprint in terms of GHG Protocol scopes 1 and 2 emissions in Finland, and we have also started calculating Scope 3 emissions. The Finland Chamber of Commerce has awarded Comatec the Carbon Footprint Calculated label for the 2023 emission calculation (scopes 1 and 2). One of our goals for the coming years is group-wide emissions accounting and ESG reporting.
